Commandments of Christ

1 Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and all thy soul, and all thy strength, and all thy mind.
mat 22:37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
2 Fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.
mat 10:28And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
3 Glory in the Lord; not in man.
1co 3:21Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's;
2co 10:17But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
4 Be imitators of God; be like Him in His kindness to the undeserving.
mat 5:45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
mat 5:46For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
mat 5:47And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
mat 5:48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

5 Pray to God always and faint not. Pray with brevity and simplicity. Pray Secretly
luk 18:1And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
mat 7:7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
mat 26:41Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

6 Have faith in God; cast your care upon Him: He knows your need and will provide.

mat 6:25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

7 Give yourselves to His service without reserve, recognizing that you cannot serve God and Mammon

rom 12:1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
8 In everything give thanks to Him for this is His will and pleasure concerning you.
eph 5:20Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
col 3:15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
col 3:17And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

9 Recognize Him in all your ways, saying concerning your purposes "if the Lord will."
jam 4:15For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

10 Come out from the world and be separate unto Him, as His sons and daughters.

2co 6:17Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
11 Let Christ dwell in your heart by faith.
eph 3:17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
12 Give him a higher place than father, mother, husband, wife, children, relations, houses, and lands.
luk 14:26If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
mat 10:37He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
13 Set your affections upon him, and not upon the present world at all.
col 3:1If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
col 3:2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
col 3:3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
col 3:4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
1jo 2:15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
14 Take him for an example and follow in his steps.
1pe 2:21For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
1pe 2:22Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
1pe 2:23Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
joh 13:15For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
15 Abide in him: do not let him slip from your memory and affections.
joh 15:7If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
heb 2:1Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
16 Call him to remembrance every first day of the week in the breaking of bread, as he has appointed.
mat 26:26And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
mat 26:27And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
1co 11:24And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
1co 11:25After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
1co 11:26For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
act 2:42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

1co 16:2Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
17 Be not ashamed to confess him before men, at the same time taking care to expose not your holy things to the profane.
luk 12:8Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
mar 8:38Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
2ti 1:8Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
mat 7:6Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
18 Aim to be in a state of continual readiness for his coming. With this in view, be on your guard against the engrossments of business, the cares of life, and the allurements of pleasure.
mat 24:14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
luk 12:35Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
luk 12:36And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
luk 12:37Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

2pe 3:14Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
19 Endure to the end, submitting to hardship if the necessary consequence.
mat 24:13But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
2ti 2:3Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
20 Hold fast your confidence and rejoicing in him till you die or he come.
rev 2:10Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

rev 2:14But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
rev 2:15So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.
rev 2:16Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
rev 2:17He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
rev 2:18And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
rev 2:19I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.
rev 2:20Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
rev 2:21And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
rev 2:22Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
rev 2:23And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
rev 2:24But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
rev 2:25But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
heb 3:14For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
21 Love one another with a pure heart fervently.
joh 13:34A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
rom 12:10Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
eph 5:2And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
col 3:14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
1th 4:9But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
heb 13:1Let brotherly love continue.
1pe 1:22Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
1pe 4:8And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
1jo 3:14We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

1jo 3:18My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
1jo 3:19And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
22 Brethren not to exercise lordship over one another; the greatest to be as the youngest; he that is chief as he that doth serve; Christ's example the illustration of what is meant.
mat 23:11But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
luk 22:26But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.
luk 22:27For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.
joh 13:13Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
joh 3:14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
joh 3:15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

23 Not to be angry without righteous cause; and to take care lest anger even in that case lead to sin.
mat 5:22But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
eph 4:26Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
col 3:8But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
24 In case of breach, to seek reconciliation and exercise forgiveness to the utmost extent.
mat 5:24Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

col 3:13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
25 In case of sin, known or heard of, speak not of it to others, but tell the offending brother of the matter between thee and him alone, with a view to recovery.
mat 18:15Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
gal 6:1Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
jam 5:19Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
jam 5:20Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
26 Grudge not: Judge not: condemn not one another
mat 7:1Judge not, that ye be not judged.
rom 14:13Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
1co 4:5Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
jam 4:11Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
27 Shut not your ear to the needy: relieve the afflicted.
act 20:35I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

30 Confess your faults one to another.
jam 5:16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
31 Let your light shine before men. Hold forth the Word of Life. Say to the perishing, Come.

32 Agree with your adversary quickly, submitting even to wrong for the sake of peace.

33 Do good to all men as opportunity may allow. The Samaritan succoured a stranger in distress: "Go thou and do likewise." If even thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink.

eph 5:8For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

eph 5:11And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
rom 12:2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

40 Walk honestly toward them that are without; give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully; be blameless and harmless, as the sons of God in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation.
1th 4:12That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
1ti 5:14I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
phi 2:15That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
41 Be ye holy in all manner of conversation, without holiness, no man shall see the Lord.
